A show they did for they for their school a week ago or so. Their bassist can hold a nice groove for being only 14. Makes me wish I started bass then.

Wow, he's better than I am...

It was all good up until the guitar solo - for some reason, it just feels like he was playin wayy off from the drums/bass...

I agree. The guitar solo didn't fit with what the drums and bass were doing. The bassist seemed pretty good though.

I liked it until the solo too. The guys voice was entirely different from what I expected too. Thought it was gonna sound like whiney pop punk but its pretty good. Bassist is using SX 75 jazz?

Bassist seems like the strongest link too, but sometimes he's trying to do too much and loses time I think.

I second that. Also, the lead singer reminds of They Might Be Giants.

I agree, it was pretty good up until the solo. Part of that isn't the guitar player's fault, though...the bass player kind of stomped all over that solo, too.

EDIT: The real gem is the video of Frank Sinatra and Antonio Carlos Jobim if you scroll down in the "other videos" sidebar...

That was pretty good. If the keep at it, they'll be a great band.

The solo needed wah wah.

as part of the jazz festival here, i went to see my guitar teacher play. before his orchestra went on, there was a BOTB for school jazz bands. As part of the interval though, they had a family come up consisting of:
Piano - 12 yrs old
Bass - 7 yrs old
Drums - 13 years old
the father played trumpet.

That bass player could play man... How cool would it be to be touring at that age!
