My guitar is one octave lower than yours.

An acoustic guitar and a six string bass. A match made in heaven? possibly. We are starting a band. A band unlike any other.

I refuse to play follow-me bass. I want to be more than just "low end." I will create melody. I will add power and other things.

Does anyone else share my views?

Give it a try. People will buy anything these days.

BTW -Melodic bass lines aren't new and different. Have you ever heard of a band called The Beatles?

Oh, so you're not playing bass anymore, but a guitar with larger strings?

This is a bass forum. You should probably go over to talk guitar.
