No matter how you feel about guitards if he had one of those I'd let him solo all day. I heard a few clips on youtube sweetness!

I won't lie, that thing is pretty cool. Rondo is pumping out some pretty cool new designs lately.

Um, why would the guitar have anything to do with letting a guitarist solo? I would think that would be based on the guitar PLAYER, not his instrument. And I'd never base this kind of stuff on a cool catalog picture of a relatively cheap instrument. Why not a real Gibson ES-330 or Epiphone Casino for a hollow-body with P-90s?

Ideal? I'd have to build it for myself

Hardtail Strat with a heart-pine body and one-piece maple neck
Lollar Charlie Christian pickup at the FB
No middle pickup
Reverse-angle bridge pickup
5-way pickup switch and V/B/T controls

I'd Hate To Hear Your Band dept...

After I stopped laughing I suddenly realized that the OP was serious.

And JTE is correct, the PLAYER is much more important than what guitar he/she plays.

A cheap guitar in the hands of a great guitarist will almost always sound good. Maybe even great.

The best, most expensive guitar in the world, in the hands of a wanker will ALWAYS sound like a wanker.

* Chrome covered humbucker pickups
* P-90 pickups offer superior output and outstanding treble response
So which does it have? Humbucking pickups or P-90s? The photo shows Humbuckings.

So what's the big deal?
It's looks a LOT like a Rickenbacker body with Gibson pickups, bridge and tailpiece and Fender controls.
Except that it's neither a Rickenbacker, a Gibson or a Fender. It's just another intermediate quality guitar.
