Born to be Wild although technically not a Metal song, was an influence to heavy metal music, and also the first song to actually use the phrase HEAVY METAL. I included some other pre-metal influences, like Blue Cheer as well.

OK - I guess I can't argue with that.

As classic rocker / blues rock guy and not a metal guy any song on your list I recognized, besides Black Sabbath, is probably not Metal

I'd give it a 4 out of 10. Would be a 3... but Reverend Bizzarre bumped it to a 4.

In #89 and #96 artist and title are reversed. Also, it's "Zeppelin", not "Zepplin".

Not a bad list, IMHO although I could do without Lacuna Coil.

Korn? Love Korn. J.D. is a very creative vocalist and Freak On a Leash still rocks my world.

Slipknot? I also love SlipKnot and dont understand the hate toward nu Metal that seams to be everywhere.

Avenged sevenfold? I just like that song lol.

MM? The Beautiful People is an excellent Metal song, I dont think you can argue against that.

Thanks to the ppls who like it.

Whatever Mark. I live and breathe Heavy Metal and anyone who knows me can tell you that. end of argument/discussion

I hate that the old school metal fans think anything maid after 1989 is crap. Korn, Slipknot, Disturbed, SOAD, ect all make pretty good music. Its just diferent now, but its still excellent. GET OUT OF THE 80's ONCE IN A WHILE THERE IS GOOD NEW STUFF OUT THERE!
