I just made a new poster for my band. Any other graphic designers here?

Venue name is competing visually with your band name. I immediately thought the name of your band is "The Oregon Trail" b/c that's where my eye went. Black type in white field with ample negative space in the center of the poster = eyeball magnet.

Also, IMO "the Midwest's ... Band" should act as a tagline for your band name, so move it under your band logotype.

Good luck.

I like the colors, and the band logo looks nice, I did the same thing as dalkowski, my eyes went right to the venue

Yeah, good color palette -- strong yet simple. Think about ways to get your logo to pop more (drop shadow?), and dial down the venue and you'll be in pretty good shape.

Edit: OK, thinking more about the band logo (and not doing my OWN work!): Try bumping it up so it really dominates that "night sky." Announce your presence with authority, to quote Nuke LaLoosh. It looks like you kept the size of the primary logo in check so as not to compete with your "Air Force" logo (forgive me if I'm wrong). However, it also looks like you chose to make that AF logo part of the background by giving it that purple tint. If that's the case, then let it serve a background function : even run your primary logo over it a little to show it who's boss. Make sense?
