Hey, My names laura

Been playing bass for about 6 months now
In about 2 weeks, i start Year 12 Music (I have never done music before), and can only slightly read bass clef (got a book and have started teaching myself). I have just been playing by ear. Ive had 2 gigs, and for both of them i just figured out the bass lines by ear not by reading charts or anything

Anyway, My music teacher said i need to be able to read charts and know abit about walking basslines. Anyone know a good site i can check out, or some good tips???

Starting to freak out abit here haha

the best way to do it is to get a book or two of transcriptions and play them with a metronome. Your music teacher should be able to help you if there are things you don't understand.

Activebass has some decent lessons.

This one might be a good start with walking.
