I see you have already mastered the "slide your hand up the neck to make it look like you're doing something even though you're only really hitting an open string" technique. ;-)

Just kidding, although I actually do that WAY too much.

Haha, yeah where did we all learn this move from? I also do it and feel satisfied from doing it.

I also do that hand slide up the neck, subconsciously, and feel a satisfaction when doing it. I've never done it for show - I think its function is more of just a repositioning of the hand between phrases or ideas, or just clearing your thoughts before concentrating on the coming music. kinda like erasing a chalkboard before writing more junk on it.
