not practicing enough. "When was the last time you touched that bass?" "You never should have sold the Guild!" "Get in at least some rinky tink band, do some jamming or some darned thing!"

Idealistically I thinkshe wants me to get some gigs up at our cabin, I would also like that.

First time in a long time that she took this level of interest in my music.

Best of Luck,
Wesley R.

I think that's lovely! Too often, one spouse will give the other the stinkeye if they play out, or have jams at home. You're a lucky man!

Hug that fine lady and buy her a beautiful dinner or a bottle of really good wine, or roses, or something. She's a peach!

You've got a great lady there my friend. Kisses, dinner, and all the rest are highly recommended. Hang on to hear (not that you wouldn't).

My girlfriend has always been very supportive of my music, it's one of the many reasons why I love her.

And, your lady has a point. Practicing is a fine a great thing to do, but that's not what's music is about. Find yourself a band. Whether they're a "must get signed now" lot, or a few guys who like jamming and a couple of brews, it really is the most fun you can have.

OK, the most fun you can have without the misses.

Cheers

My girlfriend "supports" my music when it's not in her house...

Otherwise, I'm too loud or just too weird.

My wife hasn't been practicing her new guitar enough lately either. She says it's cause it's in the case in another room and sorta forgets about it. I had the same feeling about my P cause I got a new jazz a while ago, and the P was in the case, and most of the time I couldn't be bothered to get it out.

So ... I went and got some wall hangers for my basses and put them up in my little practice/computer room, and put her guitar on my stand (now her stand) out in the living room. She should notice it tonight .... hopefully problem solved for both of us!

Hey ... could I possibly clone her? Err well, at least her attitude and superimpose it on someone else?

You really have a good lady who knows the value of things important.

When we were first starting out, she was pro music and band, until I met up with one that had a mighty fine lead vocalist chick (who wouldn't have had anything to do with me any way). The band deal was out. I could jam around, play some parties, maybe even pick up a few nickels. I sold tons of stuff but did keep a decent sound system, a couple of amps and a few guitars. Kept an acoustic and would bang out sing along stuff wih the kids. Both my boys loved to go music stores, so she would have to give in.
A year or two ago, she won a Lesp Paul Jr, cheap Epi version. It is signed by some praise band and and some album of thiers. She will not play it, but she used play accordian.

Best of Luck,
Wesley R.

PS a couple of good things, she never tries to impose her ideas on the band and if practice is here, she makes shure everyone is comfortable, fed and that the bar is stocked for the after practice jam or talk. space for parking, two two wheelers available by the door etc. She can and did organize gigs, who to do what where and when (only when asked).

Down side, she can be slightly too honest and if a song sucks and she is aked, she will let her opinion known, plainly but perhaps harshly. She drove two hours round trip for one clown who lost his mic. It was a weekend gig, like all weekend. During our ride home, she did voice her opinion that we needed spares and if I was to continue in this band , somene needed to get control of this guitard or be prepared for him. He was the basic, no spare anything, I think I might have a pick in here somewhere type of guy.

Wait a minute. You're in Minnesota, I'm in Florida. How are we able to share a guitar player?

This is different and I don't want to cause trouble and I'm certainly not suggesting anything but ...

I have a buddy who's ex-wife would encoraged him to go golfing with his buddies. He thought she was just being an understanding wife. Can you guess what she was doing while he was out golfing
