Nady RW-1 VHF manuals anyone?

Sign in to disble this ad
Hi, all

I recently purchased Nady RW-1 VHF wireless reciever, 2* Nady HT-10 transmitter and Nady The Link transmitter.
(Something is obviously missing, but rules are rules )

I emailed Nady, asking about the manuals and they replied fast, but the answer was:"sorry. it has been discontinued for over 10 years."

So. Is there anyone in this forum who still has the manuals, and would be kind enough to scan any or all of those for me.

Or if anyone knows a ftp-site or some other site with that information, that would be cool also.

Any help is appreciated.

Regards
Sam

I don't have any manuals, but still use the Nady 101... do you have any specific questions that I could maybe help with?

Hi, Diggler

Thanks for the reply.

The unit is in the mail at the moment, but should arrive in a few days, so nothing specific at the moment.

What I've understood from the few rewiews I've found, Nady is generally considered as a POS for some reason . I remember using some units in early 90's and they weren't that bad or is my memory just playing tricks on me?

Granted, there's problems in the VHF band and granted, the channel separation was sometimes a pain, but with 1 or 2 handhelds I don't remember havin' too many problems that were Nady related. AFAIK all the VHF wireless systems had the same problems.

Or is the reliability the issue, since (again) if I remember correctly, nearly all of the non rack mounted reciever units failed quite frequently and the rackmounted ones didn't. But this was the case with all the manufacturers.

My unit will be used mainly for soundcheck purposes and to boost the visiting vocalists egos, but as I'm wiring my bass with Hi/LoZ transformer anyway for other reasons, I'll give that a go also.

Regards

I almost upgraded my wireless when we started playing again, but realized that except for more cell phones and stuff around, nothing's changed since the 90's. I figured I'd try it a few times and if I needed a new one I'd upgrade.

After adjusting the sensitivity, I haven't had the need to change to UHF, let alone to a brand new model. It's not even a diversity model. Mine is a standalone that I put into a rack adapter. If I run into problems at a particular venue (which hasn't happened yet), I'll just plug in a cable there and be done with it; if it happens at a few I may upgrade someday.

If it worked fine back then, it should work fine now.
