Name My Sci-Fi Chill Band

A little contest:

If we choose the name you suggest then you will receive $200 USD by paypal.

PM or post, no limit on number of entries - multi-forum contest, so I probably won’t be able to reply to all submissions.

Our goal for the name:

We do already have a name in mind that we like (if nothing better comes along that’s what we’ll use) but we’re looking for a name that would catch people’s attention, spark some wonder and curiosity while hinting at the band’s vibe, just from hearing the name alone.

Link to youtube audio samples:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uBv8BUhei5g

Thanks for listening! Btw youtube really put a hurtin' on the sound quality.

Oct 14 Update:

The $200 prize is still available.

A couple of beautiful ideas have been suggested across the forums that while not the right band name, may be song titles for us down the road.

If we don't find a name (better than the one we already have) we'll put together some smaller runner up prizes at the conclusion on Tuesday, October 26.

So if you have any more ideas let me know!

Sci-Fi band name? I was born for this job.

Frame Dragging

If you don't want to read the Wikipedia link, it's basically the principle that rotating bodies twist space-time around themselves.

If you've ever seen the space-time visualization of gravity as matter making depressions in a rubber sheet, frame dragging is the fact that if they objects are rotating, they twist the rubber sheet as well as distort it.

It's also very likely the reason for these jets from rotating black holes, so you've got some built in cover art for the name.

EDIT: NASA images have a very easy use license, so they're a great source for art.. recent destined-to-fail lawsuits from moron astronauts notwithstanding.
