Recently moved in and love it. I've only gotten to get around to bits and parts, but from what I have seen I love.

Any recommendations on shops for gear, bassess and the such? Any cool record shops? Also, who would you suggest for repairs on gear (specifically amp and cab work) and places to set ups?

Thanks so much and looking forward to Nashville and all the goods it has.

I don't live in Nashville, but I used to travel there frequently. Check out Corner Music. They always have a decent supply of basses.

Definitely check out Corner Music on 2705 12th Ave. Decent selection of basses and amps. Exemplary staff.

Check out Grimey's records 1604 8th Ave.

If you want to venture a little out of town, try the LowEnd in Murfreesboro. Huge selection of basses.

+1 For Grimey's and Corner Music. Also check out The Great Escape, awesome selection of new and used vinyl, cds, dvds, comics, etc. http://www.thegreatescapeonline.com/
Also if you're looking to grab a beer and hear some decent tunes, check out The Basement, it's located under Grimey's. Mike, the owner,[also owns Grimey's] is a great guy that generally books pretty good acts. I loved Nashville for the year and a half I lived there and can't wait to get back. Enjoy the town man.
