Need eBay Feedback Advice

Sign in to disble this ad
I just purchased a Boulder Creek acoustic bass from "The Bass Place" through an eBay auction. I believe they refurbish factory seconds and then sell them at a very reasonable price.

Anyway my problem is that when I got the bass the bridge pegs for the "B" and "E" were in so tight I couldn't get them out . It took the luthier a good 15 minutes to carefully pry them out. He refit them for me for $5 each.

So... do you think I should give any sort of negative feed back on the eBay transaction?

That could very well have been a climate change issue from the shipping. Expansion, contraction...all that stuff.

did you tell TBP and what did they say? Give someone the opportunity to fix a mistake first.

Absolutely not. Why would you? Do you think TBP staff knew the pegs were stuck? C'mon.

The luthier said they weren't installed properly. He had to do a bit of filing to make them fit. Yes, I do think TBP knew because they worked on the action before sending me the bass.

But I do see your point. Now I'm thinking it's not a big enough deal to say anything. Considering what I paid for the bass, $10 and a trip to the guitar shop is no big deal (and I'm sure you can guess how much I hate going to the guitar shop ).

do a positive feedback , and write them telling them the problem you had with the peg.
as an ebay seller, when i get comebacks like this i go out of my way for the cotumers, i would refound you the money spent to fix it. but that's just me.

Thanks 6-1-6-6, that sounds like good advice.

Great advice. Odds are that they had no idea.
