forgive me if im commiting the ultimate paux pas..... this is my first post!!
I joined TB pretty much to get an idea of what i can do better in my band, I consider myself a pretty decent bassist but ive never bothered doing much research into gear and bass tone. Just played for 6 years and worked out what i like for myself.
For the guys that really know their stuff can you stream the songs from my bands myspace (
www.myspace.com/catsandcatsandcats) and give me an idea about how decent my bass tone and style is - how close is it to being 'up there' with pro players?
I use brand new rotosound strings when i record and use an active BB series Yamaha DI'd out of an ASDOWN combo. No rack equipment, the compression is taken care of in Cubase.
Some experienced opinion please?
