I need what is likely a pretty easy job done- I need a 7-pin MIDI cable that ends in a 2.1mm power cable made. My MIDI controller receives phantom power from my rack, and the controller also has a phantom power out. Pins 6 and 7 on the MIDI cable can be wired to a 2.1mm end rather than another MIDI end, so I could pop a daisy chain on the end and power a few pedals with it.

I've tried two cable makers that haven't responded back yet. Any suggestions? Any TB tinkerers out there that want to try it?

Have you researched the output capability and voltage of the embedded power supply and matched it to the power requirements of whatever you want to feed from it?

Yeah- the phantom power just takes in and puts back out what the adapter puts into it at the beginning of the the MIDI chain. 9v center negative- it'll be fine with my pedals. The adapter I'm using has over 300mA more power than the MIDI controller needs as is- the maker of the MIDI controller also said it would be fine; the 7-pin out on the controller is designed to be able to also power a slave controller.

Markertek will make just about any cable you can spec.
