I have a Boss TU-2. It's OK, but am looking ot get a more accurate tuner that mutes, is true bypass and silent - no click when I step on it.

Help.

The Strobostomp is great but a bit pricey.

From what I understand the Korg Pitchblack pedals do what you're asking - all though I have not used one personally yet so I may be wrong.

The TU-2 should not have a click - it's actually true bypass pedals that can often suffer from that. if you TU-2 clicks it's either broken or you have a power/ground issue somewhere in the chain.

I should clarify - it doesn't, and I don't want one that does. I am a littel nuts about tuning and checking so I'd be clicking all night.I believe that all "true bypass' pedals do click - nature of the beast as I understand.

I'm still not convinced that the TU-2 is that bad. I don't seem to notice the tone suck that others complain about. While the accuracy is questionable, it seems OK to me. I use a more accurate tuner when making intonation adjustments on my basses, but the Boss has always seemed OK live.

+/- 3 cents does seem a bit much though...

I've only used the stropostomp, and couldn't be happier. I got it cheaper, used on ebay.

Any other thoughts? My TU-2 gave out so I need a new tuner/mute pedal.

The Turbo Tuner walks all over the Strobo in every regard except one. Some people prefer the size and appearance of the display on the Strobostomp. I'm not one of those people, however--so for me, it's no contest. The Turbo is faster, smaller, more rugged, and less expensive.
