Need some help with my BOSS TU-80 tuner.

I noticed on the screen, theres a bunch of small b's. Im able to select the amount of b's between 1-5 b's, and some version where it blinks between the first two and the last three. Hope i make sence. Iwas wondering what these b's do:I

The little b is a flat symbol. Tells you how many 1/2 steps flat you're tuning to.

U_u so what would be the difference if i selected between 1 b or 5 b's, flatter pitch? How many should i have:P?

I play a 5-string w/ low B. I typically tune my G, D, and A exactly in tune (no "b's"), my E 1 or 2 hairs flat, and my low B 2 to 4 hairs flat. I find the fretted notes on the E and B strings are closer to right-on this way.
I prefer a needle tuner to those with LEDs. It's easier to see exactly where you are!

So, if i put more b's, ill tune to a flatter pitch?
