Need some help with my new AKG WMS400 system.

Guys.
Ive been using a AKG GB system for over a year with no problems at all. Recently i got a WMS400 system to use with my other band. while i can figure out how to use it in 7 gigs i have lost sound in three of them. I didnt loose signal as there were no warning lights on, the cables were fine and i could use the system later on in the set. I have changed the unit over but i fear i might still get the same problem.
The thing that bothers me is that every now and then im getting the message "RF low" show up on the display. but its not in red as it should be and i can see a strong RF signal still showing. This seems to happen randomly, without me even moving.
Could someone shed any light on this? Could it be that im too close to the receiver as sometimes im only 3-5 feet from it and the recommended minimum is around 10ft i believe.

Thanks
