Hey TB, just finished a great bass mod I'd like to share. I was directly inspired by HUnt49's great work on the DeArmond in the "the warm glow of electric sex gleaming in the window" thread, and set out to replicate the neon string effect. I used orange DR Neon strings along with UV LEDs mounted on the underside of my P's ashtray pickup cover and the results were fantastic.
The LEDs are powered by a 9v battery squeezed in under the pots- I had to dremel out a bit of wood but in the end it worked out. Overall, I'm stoked with how it turned out... it's gonna be hard not to show it off next jam I go to!
