So I ran across the website of a new bass store in San Diego. I think I'll go over their tomorrow to check it out. It's about five minutes from my office in San Diego (when I'm not at Groom). Looks like they're carrying some decent stuff. MOTL. Bass San Diego

That and eat @ that "Spices" Thai restaurant... |

I met Chris, one of the owners and, as is often the case with bass players, he's a very friendly and nice guy. I haven't met his partner George yet. Not a lot of inventory yet, but it's cool having a source for EA, Epifani, MTD, Dingwall, Elrick and Turner gear. It turns out that John DiMaggio (formerly of Bass Alone, then Taylor Guitars) will be working there.

Yes, this is a very cool friendly place...
Nice meeting you yesterday Mike. Love that "pink" bass!

I only ask because it appears that they've got a lot of overlap in terms of products and market and have websites with a similar layout.

He'll be handling some odd tech/consult-related jobs. Hadn't noticed the similarities between our sites until you mentioned it, but you're totally right! I could be wrong, but I think we currently stock different products in the same market. We are both on the dealer list for Epifani, though. Hope to see you all at the shop soon! I'm there weekdays, Chris is there on Saturdays. | | Thread Tools | Search this Thread | | | |
