The group is open to players of all styles. Any more of you out there?

I'll make an exception for Windsor. I drive farther to the grocery store than the trip across the river.

Alright sweet! I gave up Facebook for Lent, so I'll join when it's over. I live in Plymouth, MI which is 30 minutes west of Detroit. Right now I'm going to Cornerstone University in Grand Rapids (that's why my location is Grand Rapids.) Cool idea Craig!

Great! I'm happy people are joining!

I can't take all the credit for the idea, though. I saw a Detroit drummer had started drummer's page, so I started a bass page.

I'm in. Good idea, always look thru the classifieds for sale and wonder, why does everyone live in Dallas or too far away to pick up an amp? Will be good to know some D-town low enders.

Can't really join, but I'll raise a hand in solidarity.
I lived in Redford Township in the early 80's. In addition to playing in a Top 40 band working the Hilton's, Hyatt's and Sheraton's in the area,
I played with the original Sun Messengers, Juanita McCray and the Motor City Beat, and took part in the Montreux-Detroit Jazz Festival.
Good to see you guys are active.

You're welcome to join. You were from the area, once. I live in Redford Township, BTW.

Detroit was the first place that I ever saw armed guards in a Taco Bell.

Does living in the Riverfront Towers (next to Cobo) for three years count towards membership?

I've got 2 good friends who just graduated going to Cornerstone, I've heard lots of good things about the college.

Not close enough to Detroit to warrant being a "Detroit bassist". I'm not enough of a bassist to warrant being a Detroit bassist either.

I turned the reigns over to Kerry Lacy. He's in charge of the DBP group now.

Before I left DBP, I started a forum similar to TalkBass, dedicated to the bassists from Detroit and surrounding areas. Visit DetroitBassPlayers.com. It's free to join. We're looking for members to get the community going.

I had joined this page. I just got tired of reading all the posts on my homepage. Most were not even bass related. I left the group shortly after.

You could have turned off the notifications. Thanks for stopping by. Sorry it wasn't what you were looking for.
