The new GuitarCenter.com?

Anyone seen it yet?

http://www.guitarcenter.com/

Think it'll be any better than Musician's Friend? Anyone shopped here yet?

I wonder if this will worsen the selection available in the Guitar Center stores... which is already lackluster for Gallien-Krueger cabinet lovers, lefty bassists, and people looking for good effects pedals...

Well... at least it gives us another place to buy stuff online.

Very very similar to Musician's Friend, right down to the descriptions and the same customer review ratings. Though there are certain brands that MF carries that GC doesn't, online or otherwise (notably, Rickenbacker instruments, as GC is no longer an authorized RIC dealer but MF still is.)

It appears that you can use your GC credit card on the site, which would be a really nice feature, so long as you can still get 12 month no payment plans.

I love the rules for the contest - I mean, I know they have to make it so you don't have to buy anything, but still...

Actually, its the other way around. Musician's friend is the parent company of GC. I know because I called them and reported a rude manager of GC and talked to their regional manager. Two weeks later, he was transferred.
