What's a good tuner for 5 string bass?

Somebody I know has one that you can actually tune without being plugged into it, which is kinda cool.

p.s.
I'm not looking for the cheapest, I just want a good one thats gonna last.

I am going on four years with my Korg CA-20. Credit card size, and is always accurate.

I dig my Intellitouch. It clamps on the headstock and senses vibrations in the body, so you don't have to plug it in.

Peterson Strobe tuners...if it matters to you to be IN TUNE.
I have a VSII and a StroboStomp.

The VSII has a built in mic..

+1...you'll wonder what you've been doing in life without one.

Does this work well with low B?

I read a review that said they might not be great with real low Bass frequencies.

I don't actually know, but I'm going to chime in. Even if it doesn't work well with a low B, you really only need one string to be in tune, then tune the rest off of it. Personally, I haven't tuned any bass of mine in 3 years, and when I checked it against my guitarists' tuners, it was within 2 cents! Not to shabby I don't think! Back to discussion, just tune the G (or whatever one's easiest for you to hear easily) then use whatever tuning method to tune (I've always used 5/7 harmonic).

+2 I've had one for a little over a year and I've had no trouble when tuning my five strings.

+3 Best tuner around for a lot of reasons.....such as

1. You can use it to power other pedals as it acts as a power supply
2. You can mute your instrument to unplug without waiting for the sound guy
3. Different types of tuning displays(streaming..etc)which are highly visible, even in the dark.

I love this tuner, solid as a rock for the past 2 years. The Peterson Strobostomp may be a bit more accurate(but not much) but for $189 it's too freaking expensive. Actually, the MOST accurate tuning is Buzz Feinten....so there. Get the Boss...you will not be disapointed.
