New original music site

Sign in to disble this ad
A friend and former band mate of mine, has just launched a site to feature original music from unknown/unsigned bands and musicians. This is the text of the message he sent me explaining his idea and web site. It looks like a very cool idea. Please take a minute and check it out.

hey Everyone,
I have just launched a website with a friend of mine
http://itsanewrevolution.com

It's a New Revolution is site is for unsigned musicians and people who like to hear new music
Who says a Record Company should decide what is good?...Let the listeners decide!

The idea behind the site is simple:

If you are an unsigned musician and have an original song.. with no strings attached (fees/rights etc) please visit the site and post it
The music on the site runs in rotation like a radio station
The fans listen for songs they like and rate them (or if they don't like them they give it a low score)
The higher the rating, the better the rotation
When your song plays...your web site/myspace info...picture etc... scrolls on the screen and if someone wants to contact you...or go to your site... or if you sell from your site...it's a click away
There is no charge for musicians and no charge for listeners...I'll open it up to commercials/sponsors later (like a radio station) when the time is right and that's how I'll pay for it
We are just getting started so getting the first songs in rotation is what we are concentrating on now...so...the earlier you post...the better chance you'll stay on longer

This is just a little dream of ours...musicians need an outlet for their music to be heard...I hope this is it!
