New songs for Band 'start-up'

Sign in to disble this ad
So today I got to jam with my first real band (minus a drummer) who actually seems like they want to get somthing done. They want to play hardcore metal type stuff (covers), which isnt really my thing but I'd still like to play with them.

The problem is that I don't know any of the songs they want to play... they seem to really like this band called 'Asking Alexandria' and told me to just learn any 'Asking Alexandria" song(s) and in two weeks at the next rehearsal we'll practice them. I also noticed a large number of Blink182 and Green Day posters and magazine articles and whatnot in the rehearsal space (the guitarists room). So I'm geussing they wouldnt mind covering a few Punk songs.

So I'm wondering if anyone can reccomend me some good Asking Alexandria, Blink 182, and/or Green Day songs that I could learn so I can jam with them in two weeks.

Thanks

P.S. Speed is an issue for me. I cant play with a pick very well and my finger speed is limited for now. So songs with a sane tempo would be appreciated.
