I wasn't sure where to post this, but I thought some of you might check out my band's recent video clips. They were recorded with a digital camera, so don't expect perfection. They're also .MOV files, so they might require Quick Time (not sure).
Let me know what you think! http://babblejackband.com/music.html

Yeah, the drummer sings. All of us sing backgrounds at some point, but the drummer sings lead for one song ("Interstate Love Song") as well. |

And just a tip: your video files won't stream, and download VERY slowly. Your file sizes are also pretty big, you could probably save some bandwidth by converting them to .mpg, and reducing the frame size.

I'd like to write some originals eventually. We just started gigging in September, so we've only done 5 shows (the video clips are from our 2nd and 3rd shows).
I'm not a professional web designer, so I have no desire to take the time to figure out how to do all those things. Eventually, we'll have a professional design a site for us.
Is there an easy way to convert the files to .mpg? A free program perhaps? |

It's much more professional than the video clips we had up before. The easiest way to view it right now would be on our MySpace page. Let me know what you think! www.myspace.com/babblejackband |

The lead guitar sounded "90's dated" so I would change that, and the background vocals sounded weak - needs work. "Shot through the Heart" was a very bad song choice for your vocalist so the song didn't sound good. With the right song choices and a few changes your band could be good.

The drummer has decided to mostly stop singing (the background vocals you heard were his), and he's going to focus more on correcting the song tempos. We're actually considering adding an additional vocalist. Somebody who could also add more energy to our live show (our current singer is trying to work on that). | | Thread Tools | Search this Thread | | | |
