What do you resolve to accomplish as a bassist this year? Be specific, if you're gonna practice more, what will you be practicing? Will you be buying or selling or restoring anything? What are you gonna do with bass in 2011?

I also want to delve deeper into live sound. |

I had one before, but I needed the money since I was going to school and never really played out. As to what, I was thinking of going either Markbass or GK. Now I have to decide if I want to for 4x10 or 2x10+1x15!

Aside from that, just work more on using the metronome. |

In my recent years I've gotten so deep into cars and motorcycles that my first passion has almost gone to the way side.
It was so easy to play for 5 hours a day when I was in middle school but a life cramps some of this...but you make time for the things you want in your life.
Time to make time for my bass playing.

| | Registered User | | Join Date: Mar 2009 Location: Austin, TX | | I've resolved to look at why I play bass (and music in general) differently. I picked up bass a few years ago to get into a band that is really awesome, and although it's still going strong (released an EP, working on our first full length) I've realized that you can't count on anybody but yourself. Sometimes your drummer just doesn't look at his work schedule until the day of an important practice or recording session, and all the bitching in the world isn't gonna change that. I'm trying to set myself up to be a lifelong musician and multi-instrumentalist instead of just the bass player for Tin Can Phone. Also I want to play louder | | Thread Tools | Search this Thread | | | |
