not sure where to post-(guitars not basses).
Anyways, last Sunday I was visiting my Mom and as we were about to leave, my Dad shows up and hands me a guitar case. I open it up and there was a Les Paul Studio in near mint shape in side the factory case. he says Merry Christmas.
a little background- my Dad and me do not have a relationship. I am 43 years old and he is 65.
ten years ago, I would have refused to accept a gift from a person whom I had nothing to do with. nowadays, I feel you have to pick your battles and so I simply was grateful for the present. I haven't the heart to trade it for something I can use; I will not take the chance of offending someone`s heart felt offering.
I am however, switching the accents to cream as the black appointments are kinda boring. it is also getting a set up and nut filing too.
I don't really play guitar but I love guitars. my Dad loves Les Pauls so he bought me something that HE likes; he should know that I am a bassist lol.
anyways, here it is:
if you're gonna chase tone, you better wear good shoes-she runs faster than you and you won't catch her.
