This was a nice surprise.....

Our band played a gig this Saturday. Usually I hear a number of people come up and say how good we sounded. This time some people came up to me and said how good the bass sounded in the band. Wow, not the lead singer or guitarist but the bassist. I'm trying to figure out what I may have done differently than before but nothing comes to mind. It is such a good feeling to hear a compliment like that. I've never been in the spotlight and am probably the least noticed of everyone in the band. So to have people come up and say it was the bass that really got them going was a real treat. I hope all bass players experience what I did this weekend. I'm still beaming over it.
Play on.....

That's sweet. I've always said that one of the earmarks of a good bass player is that you don't really notice them when they're playing, but when the bass falls out, you really notice it then. You must've been in a zone that night. It is nice to be noticed.
