I don't use any effects of any kind. 
I have nothing against them, it's just not my thing.
My sound is bass+amp.

If this one can stay all positive and just appreciative of the awesome sound of a bass direct to amp, then I certainly have no issue with it. I love that sound too! My earlier post was just based on the direction these threads have gone previously. |

| | | Does a limiter count? Not really an effect I have one and just use it to get rid of the "clanking" on one of my basses. But tonight I lowered my pickups and thru headphones at least, am thinking I may not need it anymore.

Bass + GK400RB IV + 2x10 or 4x10 and/or 1x15 (depending on room size) = one great sound. I'm now looking at a GK800 for the bi-amp capability. What do you think? |
