No used market, anywhere!

After hearing my Ashdown MAG combo, my friend decided to one-up me and get an ABM combo, the bastard. However, none of our local guitar stores have any Ashdowns whatsoever. So we decided to look in the used market, Craigslist, Ebay, but nothing.

So, what do you guys do for used gear? Is there another way to buy it? Or do you just wait until something comes up?

Look at the classifieds here on TB or place a "gear wanted" in TB classifieds.

The latter. Keep looking on eBay, craisglist, TB, week after week. You just never know when someone is going to put their rig up for sale.

+1

And yeah, keep your eye out on a regular basis. Sometimes stuff can come and go in a matter of a day so you've got to keep on top of it.

you can also look at the Guitar Center used gear pages. They show gear from every GC store in the country, and they will ship to you if you wish.

Don't know about the prevalence of used Ashdown gear, but if you keep looking your bound to find something.

I have both combos and IMO, apart from some extra features on the ABM, and a better finish, there is not that much difference between them. Do you feel a bit better now ? The Ashdowns are great value, but if I was seriously thinking of upgrading, I'd go for something else.
