Kiss concert goers beware! simfylive.com is a rip off! They are a company that records the show that night and offers it for sale right after the show. When you go to pick the copy up of the show, it is incomplete, a flash drive with only 8 songs out of 22. They don't say this when you buy it, we even asked and were lied to! So you then have to wait 24 hours to DOWNLOAD the rest of the show. It won't download and you simply can not cantact the company to remedy it. Now the credit card (after 3 months of back/forth) can not even contact SIMFYLIVE themselves! We got ripped off period. Thanks. WE WILL NEVER SEE A KISS SHOW AGAIN!!! Anyone else have this problem?

KISS and Gene had nothing to do with this.
SimFy simply records the shows and sells them, KISS don't deal with the sales, and they know nothing of this at all, so no need to be bashing them for something like this. Not their fault.
And they did not rip you off, it was likely an error on their part by not telling you. I've bought 6 KISS recordings from them and have never had a problem. They're an easy to deal with German based company and they make good recordings of all kinds of artists.
As for KISS being ripoffs, I really don't see that at all. They give you your money's worth and well belong so long as you have an open mind and aren't an elitist douchebag.

So what if you have to wait? They do that so that they can finish mixing the rest of the concert, because they wouldn't have time to immediately after the concert finished. You'd be waiting at the venue for at least an hour if that were the case. They give you the first half to keep you entertained until you download the rest. Makes sense, no?

No, the thread has no purpose at all.
It's as if he's trying to find something to bash KISS and Gene about when they have NOTHING to do with what he's talking about.
Not only do Gene/KISS having nothing to do with it, but what he's saying is untrue. When you go to the concert venue, after the show, when you are getting the recording, they are very clear about the fact that you download the second half the next day so that they have time to mix it properly. They did not rip him off in any way shape or form. Just because the one man who was working at the venue you attended did not tell you this does not mean that they all do this.
His rant here has no basis at all.

REALLY?
I agree that the OP's problem is with SimFy and not KISS, but come on! |

No, I understand that Gene definitely gets a lil bit because of licensing, rights, logos, music, etc, but my point is that it's not Gene or KISS that ripped him off, they have nothing to do with this.
I guess if the OP's concert had been a Knopfler one instead, and there had been problems, he would be responsible, now wouldn't he?

They did tell me it would ALL be on the flash drive - I myself was wondering just how they would be able to with the time restrictions, but they assured me. Say a person bought this and had no internet but only a computer, they'd be screwed for the remaining songs. Mine simply did not work.
