I was looking down today, and there was this hair that was never there before...and then I realised Hey, there's a new guitar magazine in town. So I went and told my Mum who asked me whether I did my homework and I said no I was busy making a new genre of music with my new jazz and...
and...

Yeah Moog that is odd. For us bassists anyway.

exactly--just take a guess at how many guitarists, bassists and zither players there are in the world and you will see a similar ratio of how many different magazines for each there are...

back before "Bass Player" was born... we had to buy "Guitar Player" and deal with the one interview and one piece of reviewed gear per month.

And we had to read standard notation.

Hey don't get me wrong, TAB isn't the end of the world, but, jeez, why did they have do away with standard notation completely. Now, I have to learn TAB if I wanna play the newest Fall Out Boy tune. (Where is that dang 'yawning' smiley?)
