Oddball Picks

Has anyone used a train flattened coin as a pick? I think it would be just flexible enough and give it a neat sound. It would just require a little time at a grinding wheel. Anyways, any thoughts on this, and what other strange objects have you used as picks?

Hi.

Coins and other metal picks are hard on the strings, that's about the only downside I can think.

I used to make mine out of LP records a few decades ago, but nowadays it's 1mm Nylon Dunlops .

Sam
