I bought a G&L Tribute L2500 off of the 'Bay and it got here this morning, but the case is locked up and I didn't see a key anywhere in the package. I'm not much of a lock-picker, either.

Any ideas? Obviously, I've contacted the seller.

I've got to ask...did you try pushing the square block things by each latch outward?

(I've never had one of these type cases before, and the block thingies were round, but this is inexcusable. My Smug Bastard certification is henceforth revoked for not less than 90 days.)

I think this image nicely sums up what I'm feeling right now:

That's kinda like marrying the girl of your dreams only to realize she will always be clothed.

My five-year-old daughter was just reading this over my shoulder. She was nearly rolling on the floor as she read aloud, "Jesus thinks you're a dum bass!"

Dum bass. Too funny.

Ah, kids.

Legitimate gripe: the output jack is really, really flaky. It doesn't have that nice "click" locking feel, and incredible amounts of random clicking and popping are coming out as a result. I would prefer not to blow out my speakers.

These pickups are ridiculously high-output. It's awesome.

Sounds like you got a loose goose Pete, try to get it to tech as soon as you can I am sure it can be fixed. If you have any keys from other hardshell cases give it a try they are often very similar.

LOL, the key issue is over. I'm gonna take it to my tech alongside my FBB, which needs the nut cut a little deeper to accommodate a .050-.135 string set.
