I cried afterwards. This is sad. The band is great, DL Roth is pathetic. Some of the comments below are hilarious.

Wow. I know I am going to be in the minority on this one, but I kind of like it. In a Hayseed Dixie kind of way.

Dave looks like Hugh Hefner's long lost son. At least the pipes are still working. Sort of.

I hope he got paid for this.

Poor David,

He went from running with the devil to the devils little monkey boy.

I don't know, do you think he did it so he could stick it to Eddie?

BTW, Eddie is doing great now writing music for a porn film director. Get out the wha wha pedal Eddie! Porn 70's style!!

No 'Dis to the band, they did a great job and sounded good; but Holy Crap! *** was Dave doing? I half expected him to start Riverdancing across the stage. He was killing me, I actually listened to the whole thing and now I must shower..... I feel dirty!
I just had to take some aspirin..my head hurts.....

Dave's become nothing more than a caricature of himself. He's still living in the Dave TV days and everything's left him behind. He needs to be a bit more graceful, but I guess that was never his suit.

will this not be good promo for bluegrass though ?

maybe Dave's trying to grow old gracefully ?

because of the band [VH] politics [royalties]i can't blame him one bit
for the shtick and laughing at eddie and his brother.[keeping it in the family bs.]

personally i'd rather drink from a toilet

This made my day! Props to the banjo player.

And I I know baby just how you feel.

That's how much I hate Van Halen. It's quite sad though...

"1) Just when you think Dave has moved on to a new life and come to terms with the long-ago passing of his stage-borne talents he come rallying out to destroy another Van Halen reference and disembowel another musical genre

2)Is he taking vocal lessons from a cockier spaniel now?

3)That's not Dave. That is a coin-operated life-sized mechanical DLR droid someone unearthed in a Montana pizzeria and took on the road in lieu of the real thing. Can you blame them?

4)C'mon Dave, gimme a break."
were my favorite comments on the other page.

I really liked the band. As long as it was sort of a blurgrass version of 'Hmmm...That's familiar. What are they playing?' it was very cool.

Then some old guy comes out and starts singing...badly and I suddenly realize that it's DLR and the universe became a cold and ugly place for a few moments.

Now I put my face in my hands and weep for my lost youth. Ah. The days when this was a new song. They were simpler days.
