ZZ Top played our town last Saturday night.

cliffs:
They noted their first public performance as "ZZ Top" was in our hometown.

The Top can still rock (and play blues).

Their stage set was cool beans.

Frank's drum kit was even cooler beans.

Billy broke a string on his Explorer and exchanged for a Gibson that stumped me until I found out about the elusive "Moderne".

MrsDoc looked like a million bucks and hillnecks vocally confirmed it while we were walking through the parking lot. (Sorry, no pics of either MrsDoc or the 'necks)

The stage

The kit

The Moderne (had to be a reissue or recreation, right?)

Even the mic stands were kinda bitchin'

Hi.

ZZ-Top has always been one of the coolest bands around, and most probably will continue to do so for a long time.

And yes, the Moderne is a re-issue. (And one ugly looking axe if You ask me )
AFAIK none of the possible originals hasn't surfaced yet and most likely never will.

Regards
Sam

Sorry to be so negative, but that Moderne...original or repro'd...has to be the ugliest guitar ever invented. I usually like Gibsons...but not that one.

No need to apologize.

Read what T-Bird and I posted about it!
