This is an old clip but none the less a killer performance.

Pink (who actually can sing). And she's not lip syncing during this performing.

Really?

THIS is singing --though admittedly she wasn't hoisted anywhere. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AWKLgE21GeM

Or this, but the outfit isn't quite as revealing. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8FT5Q...eature=related

Has the bar slipped so low that all someone has to do is NOT lip-sync and it's considered great?

I agree. And yes, she can actually sing. This was also visually a very good performance.

Pink is a very good singer, especially compared to most of the female singers that are out today. I have listened to Pink since her first cd release and she is one of the very few artist who has not only been consistent in the quality of her vocals but she continues to get better.

And the vocals and aerial performance in that clip will not be touched by another artist in a very long time.

And again she was singing that live.

I'm with you 100% on this. I have never been one to listen to pop music and never gave any of the female singers any credit. I remember back in '02 I was driving with my teen daughter in the car & she asked to put a CD in, I rolled my eyes and said ok expecting some bad pop music. She slid in the new (then) Pink cd and I was shocked! I remember saying to her, That girl has a great voice, she is good! She is much more then a sexy woman, she has talent.

That's impressive, both vocally and theatrically. That she can keep the vocal control while she's spinning up in the air like that is pretty amazing.

boy, some people like to put on a show and they're raked over the coals for it no matter how talented they are. silliness...talent is talent, whether standing still wearing a yellow jumpsuit, dangling like a cirque du soleil performer, wearing a meat dress, or wearing makeup and spitting fire. i guess earth wind and fire sucked because they choreographed their songs and had a magic show at one time, too.

She has the ability to sing, and project, just no announciation, many female performers are called great singers, while being very mediocre, think Janis joplin, Grace Slick, Cher, Madonna, Mary J Blige....this is mediocrity sold by press, sex, or both. Listen to Manhattan transfer, Ella Fitzgerald, Aretha pre 1990, Billie Holliday, these are some great singers, and great performers. Expectation of excellence went out with the 80's, and acceptence of mediocrity became the norm, especially in the music industry. Look at what is popular today. If you wonder why bands from the 60's, 70's and 80's are still selling out arena's and stadiums, while the popular acts of today play clubs and theaters, maybe it's self explanatory.

ok look, good voice, just wish I could have understood the lyric.

Just my opinion, and no malice intended toward anyone.

One could say that Billy Holliday had no annunciation.

One could say that Manhattan Transfer was/is cheesy.

I never said Pink was a great sing but she is definitely above mediocre. And her lyrics are not the run of the mill variety.

I wouldn't have dug the song and combined performance if I wasen't able to properly hear her vocals.I understood the lyrics very clearly.

If any one wants to see the words to the song in the above video.

And I'm sure we all remember when artist weren't afraid to call a leader out.

She's defined a rarity. When so much BS was coming for prez Bush she was of less than a handful of artist who questioned him. And called him out
