One night in NYC - where to go for jazz?

I'm visiting my girlfriend in NYC from Dec 30-Jan 2. I have NYE plans, but one of the other nights I want to check out the jazz scene. If you had to recommend one place what would it be?

Also - I'm under 21 so that probably limits things.
