Online music store that ships to Canada?

Anyone know of any good online stores that can ship to Canada? Specifically, fender amps? All the ones based out of the U.S. aren't allowed to, which leaves me up the creek without a paddle. Anyone got any ideas? No ebay please.

Musicians Friend will ship to Canada. I have had good and bad experiences with them.

The shipping might be a killer on an amp though, so watch carefully.

The bad experience was with a sax mouthpiece. They shipped me the wrong mouthpiece Since I had already paid customs on it, they said to ship it back saying I didn't want the customs reimpursed and they would ship the correct mouthpiece.

Well, they where out of stock and no longer stocking the product

They reimburssed me for the mouthpiece and all shipping costs. But I was out the $30 for customs.

So the moral is to always ask to be reimbursed for the customs if you are returning an item, even if they are going to send you one back.

You might try Musicstop. They are based in the Canadian maritimes. I have never delt with them but I believe they will let you order online.

It looks like they carry Fender Amps.

Or you could order though Long and Macquade, it'll probably be more expensive but also and the BS that comes with shiiping is handled by them.

+1 on Long and McQuade. They're great to deal with.

Good call! I looked them up today - no ordering online, but there is a location about 20 blocks from me. I stopped by today but they were closed, so I'm going to try to find time tomorrow and will hopefully be buying a new amp, we'll see!

From what little I know I think Fender has very clear guidlines on what dealers can and cannot do, like publishing prices on line. I'm sure L&M can order any Fender product that you are interested in but if the objective of ordering from the US site was to save money then you probably won't be any further ahead.
