Thumbs up Order is in!!!

Sign in to disble this ad
So I've been checking out the guitar center site like I do about 50 times every day and have been seeing the ad's about the 12 mos. no interest/no payments w/ preferred player card going away almost non-stop. Its hard to tell if its just a marketing strategy or not, but I'd hazard a guess that considering the credit reform going into effect in the states soon it may very well be true...

Regardless if its true or not its enough to convince my wife that its time for me to grab some of the extra toys I've been wanting .

So yesterday I put in my order. On the way I have:

Line 6 Bass Pod XT Live
Gator GK-2110 Multi-Effects Board GigBag
TASCAM DP-004 Pocketstudio 4 track recorder (w/ adapter)
DR Medium Sunbeam 5's.

I've been wanting to start getting into bass effects for quite sometime, and although I was REALLY tempted to get some of the "better" pedals I've wanted (Big Muff Pi, Moog, ect.) I decided to go with the all in one unit so I could see what stuff I actually like and don't. Grabbed a bag with it because I like to break stuff .

The TASCAM I think was a must. Where ever I seem to go I get ideas for songs, or I have a bass/guitar in my hands and have a nice melody or groovy going, and then I forget them by the time I get home to write them down. It's not quite pocket size, but I usually carry a backpack where-ever I go anyhow so it's no big deal (Yeah I know, 24 and still carrying a backpack everywhere...).

And surprisingly the thing I'm MOST pumped about is the DR strings!!! When I started peeking around this site I read up on all the string threads and think I will LOVE these. I haven't had any cash to use towards myself as of late because I have a wedding to pay for soon, so I've been drooling over these things for close to 4 months now.

Anyhow there's my order, figured I'd share it with you all. For those of you that have any of the above gear let me know if I'll still be happy and excited come Friday when they arrive!

(Sorry if the post is kind of jumbled, had to make it quick, on my way to work :P)

So you bought on credit?

Bad choice in my opinion. I've personally been in an 'only in crisis situation' mode for buying on credit for a few years now.

I understand your thoughts. But credit isn't an issue for me. Watched my mother squander over 200K due to credit problems, so needless to say I don't get myself in a situation I can't get out of.
