Congrats man. Looks like a fun gig. High School gym? I recognize those tables! (Well, I guess the basket is a dead giveaway too!)

I see a drummer that needs to invest in a drum rug.

Yup. My love of playing a HS gym is only superceeded by my love of playing in a cafeteria. Two environments designed for sonic bliss.

It reminds me of when I was in HS (back in the mid-80's) and we had one of the military rock bands play. I remember being quite impressed with the performance. I would guess that you guys do a fair share of shows like that?

Oh, a couple a year . Notice that we've done enough to learn that flying PA in a gym is the only way to get your vocals intelligible.

I'd say we do 40-60 shows like that every year, in addition to all the other stuff we do...

Yeah, last night me and my band had a "gig", in my drummers basement. 3 guys on stage 5 people in crowd. To this date, this our second biggest show

Heck, I've played in bars with crowds smaller than that. We invoke the "band/audience ratio rule." If the number of people in the band divided by the number of people in the audience is greater than 1, the gigs's over.

Yeah, that's a nice little setup you guys have...I'm surprised that you're only doing one or so of those shows a week. I would think they'd have you on more than that for the publicity alone.

When I was sitting in the crowd at my high school I kept thinking, "that's cool, but how many guys who sign up get this gig." Even as an impressionable kid I thought it was about 0.00001%.

You're a lucky man.

Have a good show! It's always great to have a few shows in a row...You can really get in the groove!

Not so fast. From dictionary.com:

Quote:
tr.v. raped, rap·ing, rapes
  1. To force (another person) to submit to sex acts, especially sexual intercourse; commit rape on.
  2. To seize and carry off by force.
  3. To plunder or pillage.
Granted, number one would be an inappropriate use of language. However, numbers 2 and 3 could apply to a gig in the topsy-turvy world of rock and roll.

Meh, last nighted show sucked. I wasn't feelin the vibe at all.
-The guitar amp wasn't working
- My friend guitar string broke in the middle of the show
-we played like crap
-bass pedal head fell off

Man we where so pissed my the end of the show. I donno, I guess the mood wasn't right. But people still liked us, but I think we sucked. :/

Oh BTW: I do have my first show recorded, when my friend sends it to me and show you guys ASAP.
