So who's goin to ozzzzzfest? Weak lineup for sure but its still ozzfest. Only band I would like to see is Disturbed and maybe SOAD, and Ozzy if he will perform. Planning on going to Randalls Island.

Wow that is a weak line-up. Last year they had Iron Maiden, Black Sabbath, In Flames, and Shadows Fall. Why couldn't they pull off that one again?

System of a Down = weakest live band ever
Disturbed = I can see them live for 25 bucks.
Avenged Sevenfold = Same as above
Hatebreed = Suck
Lacuna Coil = Same as Disturbed & AX7
Dragonforce = 15 dollars live
BLS = 30 bucks live
Atreyu, Unearth, Bleeding Through, Norma Jean, Walls of Jehrico, A Life Once Lost, All That Remains, Full Blown Chaos, Between the Buried & Me, and Bad Acid Trip suck.
The red Chord I'm neutral on.
Strapping Young Lad I can see for hella cheap.

So basically some bads I can see for cheaper seperatly + 6 hours of crap + idiots that go to Ozzfest for 100 bucks? Forget that.

i saw system in a relatively small theater and it was great. but in an atmosphere like ozzfest i dont' think it'd be near as heavy watching em in an ampitheater. in fact i hate ampitheaters for most music, especially heavy metal, sound just deteriorates before it hits you if your in the lawn. metal has to be played indoors to blow the roof of the place that's all there is to it

I like that not-so-well-known bands get a shot at stardom while touring with Ozzfest. Unfortunately, festival shows usually aren't as good.

I'm mainly going this year because Ozzy is playing at the show I"m going to and I've only seen him with Black Sabbath before. Other than that I like the Red Chord and I would like to see Strapping Young Lad, but I will agree that this year is a pretty weak lineup overall.

Who needs the usual amature night junk when we can see Slayer and Lamb of God? For sure to blow the doors off any Distrubed or Avenged Sevenfold love fest. Oh, and if I do go it will be to see Strapping Young Lad. IMHO of course and please take all my opinions with a grain of salt.
Lets just hope Viking metal invades....

I would only go for Ozzy and Between the Buried and me. Both of which I've seen many a times. But with Iron Maiden and company last year, and Judas Priest et el the year before, you knew it wouldn't last.

Slayer, Mastodon, + Lamb of God will be saaweet though.

GO SEE STRAPPING YOUNG LAD. Dragonforce are a good laugh live as well, and I wouldn't mind seeing the Red Chord. But, GO SEE SYL.
