PA Monitors... How about a pair of 110s?

My three piece band is thinking about getting some smaller PA monitors. We often play small pubs and restaraunts with around 100 people etc. Accordingly we dont need to be very loud for those venues.

Would a pair of Yorkville "Y110" PA monitors be loud enough?

Edit: I meant to say "YX10"

Those are better suited as PA speakers, not dedicated monitors. Look at the YX10 model, it's not much more dough and looks way better suited to dual duty. I've used some older model Yorkville 110 monitors, they were quite good for being cheapies. Fine for vocals-only in the 100 seat club they lived in. The owner quickly upgraded to 12 inchers once he realized he wanted drums and other demanding instruments in the monitor mix occasionally as well though.

Go for 12's. We even use them for mains for some small gigs.

Yeah, actually I meant "YX10".

They would be for vocals only.

We have large EV 15s if we need them. They are just way overkill for the places we have been playing. Plus they are a real pain to load into the car... hard on the back.
