panpipes?

i had been looking at some pan pipes in the local music shop for a while so on the week end i decided to buy them.there just an 18 pipe power beat set.so far i can get solid notes on the five lowest pipes but the higher ones arent really coming.
summing up does anyone have any tips on how to get get good solid sustained notes on all regiters all tips would be appreciated.

don't have any tips on playing panpipes. But I caught a Bolivian Panpipe ensemble a while ago that sounded pretty cool. Nice instrument.

- You tighten your lips a bit more for the higher notes and relax them for the lower notes.

- On the low notes you blow a little more down on the pipe and for the higher ones it's a bit more straight across.

- In general you should be aiming the stream of air toward the far edge of the pipe

- Form your lips so the air is coming from a slit about 1/4" (high notes) to 1/2" (low notes) across (look in a mirror to see what you're doing)

- To start with you should sit down while you're playing or else you'll fall down lol
