Passing GAS

So I've been jonesing for a new six string. I've got a great epiphone special but it took a dive off the wall and split the neck. I patched it up and it does fine, but I've been thinking of finding something new. So I head to the local guitar store and tried out a bunch of guitars. I love P90s so I tried out a Squire modified tele custom (junk), a Fender 72 reissue (really good playability but sounded like a 70s guitar, chunky and dull - go figure) and a Godin single cut, which was the best sounding of the bunch, but I don't like the way they look. I also played a highway one pbass.

I walked away from the store inspired only to continue making my own guitars and not going down the path of production instruments - they are just not worth the money. So I'll replace the pickups in my lp and probably build a telecaster for myself after the holidays, but all that GAS that had been building up was finally relieved!

Very true. Alot of GAS is perception only and easily cured by a trip to a music store.
