Smells like an Internet rumour to me, but I wouldn't argue about it if it turns out to be all too real.
If true, this is horrible.

I've never read the terms of service with Paypal, but it would seem that if they ordered something destroyed, that was not their property, it would then become their property. Meaning they could give the buyer his money back, but they have no right to charge back the original seller, unless they returned his property to him, unharmed. Exclusive of shipping costs, of course...

If it was me I'd be taking paypal to small claims court.

The news media didn't provide a clue as the whether the broken instrument WAS authentic, or if it's deemed a counterfit!
