Well what do you ya'll think who was the better drummer bassist combo and why?
And since I can't edit my poll at least I can't figure out how add the option for carrots and dip.

Even though I love both combos, my vote would have to go to Lee/Peart. |

BUT... I much much much prefer to listen to Entwistle & Moon.. for all his faults, Moon played with a unique recklessness and joyous abandon that I LOVE to listen to... and Entwistle was his perfect match

Undoubtedly better technical chops. I think they would have better success if asked to play the lines of Moon/Entwhistle than M/E would have vice versa. That bein' said, you just get a different vibe from each when they play there own stuff (though I do like the Lee/Lifeson/Peart version of the Seeker).
Your mileage may vary.

As others have pointed out, Geddy and Neil have superior technical chops, and I'm not a Keith Moon fan at all. Yet I like the Who's music a bit more.
As a rhythm section I think I'd rather have John Baldwin and Bonzo than either of those pairs. |

Neil Peart and Geddy Lee for the win. I love both bands, but Geddy and Peart have better pockets and chops. |

Moon is the diametric opposite of Peart. All feeling with very little technical precision. Moon's style is more my style. Lee and Entwistle are both kings in my book and they both play to their drummers' style very well.
How about Townshend versus Lifeson. Two fantastic guitar players in my book. |

Give me Ward & Butler over any classic rhythm section any day |
