Peavy advice

Sign in to disble this ad
Hey all I just signed up here and am looking for some advice.

I have been looking at a Brand new discontinued Peave Grind™ Bass 4 BXP, this bass is not the current Grind model with the neck through design, this one has a bolt on neck and is gloss black, See link at bottom of post. Also this model was manufactured in Korea, and is very similar in size and feel to the current Grind models.

My main question below.

The MSRP on that model was $515 when produced and I can get it for $350, I also know that it has been sitting there for about 2 years, do you think it is a good buy at $350?

I really like the fit and feel of this bass and being as I am a beginner the fact that is was made on Korea is not a big concern.

I did notice that I got some humm out of the stores amp when I pluged it in, but I was sitting 5 feet from the amp, could the 9V battery be going dead and causing this humm?

Any advice on this Bass would be appreciated, quality? sound? any other possible problems ect.
