The Korg DT-10 was a solid tuner. Good suggestion

My guitarist has one. It worked well for a couple of years, but recently, it has started producing a lot of glitching noises when it is engaged.

Your guitarist is a ham-fisted troglodyte!

I kid

The DT-10 doesn't have many reports of failings. Any pedal can start to crap out after a while, even (though rare) Boss. I'd say the DT-10 is a reliable pedal and your guitarist is somewhat unlucky with his particular model. Could happen to anyone.

Yeah, it could just be a dud, or maybe there was a power problem somewhere along the line. I was just passing on what I've seen of them.

The korg pitch-black+ is all on top. It's around $109 new now. I just bought one, and it works very well with my five strings.

I just got mine. It works really well. HUGE display. Very easy to operate. I chose it because it has a built-in A/B selector, so, you can plug in two instruments tune either/both, mute either/both and easily switch without having to carry around an A/B box.
