Well I read that pedalboard stuff should be discussed here rather than effects.
I acquired some pedals (they're being delivered). I'm not sure what is the advantage of having a pedalboard for them. I mean, that SKB PS-45 thing which you only need to plug it to a wall, and it will power all your pedals looks convenient, but for $229, I can't afford it now. Some of the cheaper things don't power your pedals or they have padded bags which don't sound like a good idea.
What I don't understand is it can power the pedals "with 500 mA." So, if my pedal needs a different mA, like 300 or 800, will it not work? Sorry I suck at electricity.
Also, it has four effects loops. What is an effects loop?
It doesn't say anything about velcro. Do I have to put some sticky stuff on the bottom of my pedals? I don't like that idea.
Have you found it a pain in the butt to simply use 9V batteries for all your pedals and/or have no board to put them on? Just curious to know how more experienced people deal with these issues. Eventually, I will have like 3 stompboxes, 1 tuner, and 1 sansamp.
What's the best solution to carry them around and power them?
Thanks so much and don't hate me for being so ignorant. |
